What is a driving license?

You may have passed this test in high school, where you sat in a dark room and read random letters for a couple of seconds. You must have vision of 20/40 or better, with or without glasses.
You will need to provide proof of your identity as well as residency. This is typically accomplished by bringing a valid proof of identity like a passport, state ID card, or military ID. You will also be required to carry documents that confirm your current address. This includes bank statements, pay stubs and lease agreements. What are the prerequisites for obtaining the driver's license?
